Manny's triumphant debut for adoption!

Manny is an angelic puppy with the cutest deer-like appearance and bubbly personality.

He is a German Shepherd, about 10 months of age, neutered, and full of love.

At the time of rescue weeks ago he was dangerously malnourished. But he is responding well with pancreatic enzyme substitutes (sprinkled on his food) for a pancreatic insufficiency.

German Shepherd knowledge is strongly preferred for Manny's adoption.

Roxy, an inspirational Miniature Pinscher for adoption.

At the time of rescue Roxy was missing her front right leg and her left eye was so severely infected that it could not be saved.

But Roxy's loving spirit keeps her focused on the present and she is happy to be alive and full of devotion.

Cuddle with Roxy while you read a book or watch a movie and she is in heaven.

Roxy is a Miniature Pinscher, spayed girl, about 4 years of age, housetrained, good with cats & dogs & older kids, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

Roxy needed us when her previous owners divorced.

What does being loved feel like?

Guy is very timid and sensitive.  He shows signs of never being loved, as he has no self-esteem and worries that every new person he meets will start screaming at him.

His previous owner said the reason he surrendered him was: "Can't stand him".  Guy was made to live outdoors, apparently without toys.

But this handsome young Chocolate Labrador Retriever is about to have a grand awakening!  Gentle care and patience will help him reach his full loving potential.

Guy is 18 months young, neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

Guinness, a radiant German Shepherd who needs a hero.

Guinness should hold a world record for most luminous, delightful personality! He radiates warmth and kindess and dazzles with his smile and bright eyes.

Guinness is a handsome German Shepherd, neutered boy, 8 years of age, housetrained, crate-trained, good with cats and older kids, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

He enjoys playing with soccer and tennis balls.

He needed us when his previous owner was evicted.

Guinness has special needs -- he was diagnosed with lupus, an autoimmune disease -- and eagerly awaits a hero to adopt him.

Dymin, a petite and young Maltese who wants to be the center of your world.

Dymin needed us when one of her owners passed away and the other became too ill to care for her any further.

Dymin is a gorgeous Maltese, very affectionate and loving (with adults), spayed, housetrained, about 3 years of age.

Her previous owner admitted to spoiling her on an extreme level, perhaps causing some eccentricities and behavior issues.  For example, Dymin won't eat her kibble unless you mix in warm water to soften it up.  (She has a special diet for food allergies.)  Also, she won't tolerate kids or large dogs.  Apparently, she was previously attacked by a large dog, so if she sees a large dog she tries for a preemptive attack first.

Dymin loves to be in your lap and she is used to nearly constant attention.  We believe she will do best in a home where her guardian(s) are home most of the time, and willing and able to devote lots of adoration to her.  Please also plan and budget for regular professional grooming care.

Poochie, a very sunny Pomeranian for adoption.

Poochie is a vibrant, jolly Pomeranian debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

He is good with other dogs, about 4 years of age, neutered, and sporting a beautiful coat.

We rescued Poochie from another shelter, so his background is mostly unknown.  He has limited vision in his left eye, which is crossed, presumably the result of an old injury or birth defect.

Please plan and budget for regular professional grooming care.

Rocky, an affectionate Siamese cat who needs a hero.

Please help us find a hero for Rocky.  He is a cuddly, chatty, engaging youngster who will fill your heart and home with unconditional love and devotion.

Rocky is a handsome Siamese, neutered, 2 years of age, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

At the time of rescue Rocky was very ill and suffering from severe eye infections.  His veterinarian was able to save his life, but despite all best efforts, his eyes could not be saved.

Rocky is adjusting beautifully and delights in life's most important pleasures -- getting & receiving affection, feeling safe and loved, and being comfortable.

Please be sure to ask for Rocky by name when you visit.

This wonderful portrait is courtesy of Pet'ographique.

Lady MacBeth's triumphant survival and recovery.

Lady MacBeth relishes being pampered and reassured.

Loving attention now for her is in stark contrast to what she has endured. At the time of rescue her right eye was terribly maimed, her left ear had collapsed, many of her teeth were missing, and she had been declawed.

Lady MacBeth though is a survivor, and she is recovering well. Her right eye could not be saved and her left ear will not return to normal shape. But her spirits are brightening and we want her to have a lifetime of great love and comfort.

Lady MacBeth is a Himalayan cat, about 9 years of age, spayed, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

Coco, a handsome Basset Hound who yearns for a hero.

Coco is an inquisitive, very lovable boy debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

He is a handsome Basset Hound, neutered, approximately 7 years of age, and he enjoys other friendly dogs.

Please note that Coco needs a daily digestive aid (a pancreatic enzyme concentrate) due to pancreatic insufficiency.  His medications though are a small price to pay in comparison to the universe of unconditional love he his ready to offer you in exchange for a forever home.

Greta awaits a hero.

"Mirror mirror on the wall, who is the fairest of them all?" Surely the answer is Greta, a blue-eyed angel with a heavenly temperament, a magical blend of breeds including Weimaraner, a spayed girl of just 2 years of age.

She loves people and other dogs. She is completely deaf, so use consistent hand signals to communicate with her. These brand new portraist from Pet'ographique to help Greta find a forever home are phenomenal!

Please visit Nevada SPCA and ask for Greta by name.

Sarah Belle dreams of a Christmas miracle.

So grateful to be getting tender care, Sarah Belle delights in giving you doggie kisses.

She dreams of finally being in a loving home for her twilight years.  A hero will accept that she has one functioning eye and has survived liver disease.

Sarah Belle is a petite, senior Pomeranian, spayed girl, 10 years of age, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

Please help Sarah Belle get a Christmas miracle.

Frisky - a stunning Persian awaiting a loving, forever home.

Frisky is a gorgeous girl with a regal flair.

Royalty in the form of a loving, forever home would be grand, and she anxiously awaits someone special who will look beyond her age and sometimes short temper.

Frisky is a Persian, spayed, 9 years of age, best as the only pet in the home.  She does not tolerate cats or dogs well.  She prefers people.

Please be sure to ask for her by name when you visit Nevada SPCA.

Special thanks to Pet'ographique for this remarkable portrait to help Frisky get adopted.

I have an enormous amount of love & joy to share with everyone I meet.

Terrific with dogs, cats, and people, Peggy has an angelic temperament and melts into your arms joyfully.

She needed us when her previous owner died. Her front left was deformed from a birth defect, but after amputation she is getting along very well on three legs.

She is housetrained, a Retriever & Bully mix cuter than a panda bear, a spayed girl, about 4 years of age.

Please ask for Peggy by name at Nevada SPCA.

Special thanks to Pet'ographique for these beautiful portraits to help her get adopted into a loving home.

Your gentle touch and soft voice will comfort me.

An angel from heaven, Petunia is blind, 10-12 years old, and homeless.

But she trusts us to find her someone to cherish her every day she has left on Earth.

Volunteers took her to Pet'ographique yesterday and she held her head proudly high for her portrait, reacting well to soft voices and tender touches.

She is a wonderful cuddler and she has an ocean of unconditional devotion to share.

Petunia is a Miniature Schnauzer mix who needs a hero and we ask for your help so she can have can have someone special to love and adopt her.

It is a joy to be alive!

We love and admire Peggy's sunny nature.

She has appreciation for every new day and every kind person and dog.

Peggy needed us when her previous owner died.  She is a medium-size Heinz 57 with Retriever, spayed girl, about 4 years of age.

Besides getting along well with other dogs, she is reportedly housetrained and compatible with children.

Peggy moves well on three legs.  She has done so her whole life.  Due to a birth defect, her front left leg is deformed.

Please note she is intelligent and a bit of an escape artist, so it is important that you secure your home and yard for her safety and protection.

I need a hero.

Shaq is a warm, noble older boy with a heart of gold.

But he began getting temperamental as he was losing his sight and hearing, making him a bit unpredictable for a time.

His adjustments are doing better now and he is less afraid of the changes happening to him.  He is mostly blind and deaf, but responds well to touch.  Staff, volunteers, volunteer trainers and veterinarians have all helped, and we feel he is now ready for adoption, provided that his progress can continue in his new home.

Shaq is a small, handsome Chow Chow, neutered, about 10 years of age.

He is compatible with most dogs and he is reportedly housetrained and fine with cats too.  Please plan on regular brushing and grooming.  An adult-only home is needed for him for the reasons stated above.

Please ask for Shaq by name when you visit.

I am 4 pounds but I have a world of unconditional love to share.

Update: Cookie Monster was adopted on February 5th!

We are smitten with this dainty girl.

Cookie Monster loves to be held and cherished.  She is a Teacup Chihuahua, spayed, 2 years young, debuting for adoption today.

She has slightly deformed front feet (birth defect), but walks well.

Cookie Monster is good with other sweet dogs and reportedly compatible with gentle, mature children.

She is reportedly mostly housetrained, with occasional accidents, so your patience and guidance may be needed to help her complete housetraining.

Cookie Monster needed us when her previous owner was evicted from her home.

I am very loving and I do remarkably well in small spaces.

At the time of rescue L'Oreal was pregnant and out on the streets, in a hopeless situation made worse with her lack of sight.

But thanks to loving foster care, she had her babies indoors, safely and in comfort.

Now it is L'Oreal's turn to be adopted.  She is a mellow, beautiful smoke tabby, medium-hair, spayed, and about 3 years of age.

Despite being mostly blind, she has never had a problem finding her food or litter box.  She does extremely well in quiet, small spaces and enjoys cuddling in your lap, so perhaps she can live primarily in a designated guest room or cozy part of your home.

Please ask for L'Oreal by name in Nevada SPCA's free-roaming Cat Condo playrooms.  She is one of 200 rescued, spayed/neutered cats there awaiting loving, forever homes.

Perhaps I am a diva in the making.

Update: Emme was adopted on January 29th!

Emme is simply irresistible!

She is a baby girl, cuter than a Teddy Bear, debuting for adoption today.

But she is as strong-willed as she is adorable, so an experienced home is required for her adoption.  Her foster mom has been working with her on food aggression and being temperamental, and this progress will need to continue in her new, adult-only home.

Emme is a Yorkshire Terrier mix, spayed, about 4 months of age, and good with some dogs (except around food and treats when extra caution is in order).  She will need your patience and good guidance to complete housetraining.

Please be sure to carefully puppy-proof your home and yard for her safety and protection.

Emme needed us when her previous owner abandoned her.

We would love to bounce right into your life.

Ace & Queen
We honor the strong bonds of soul-mates by having them be adopted together, even though this usually results in them being more difficult to adopt.  But for many homeless animals, their soul-mate has been their rock through often difficult times, and the emotional consequences of breaking them up are too devastating.

Ace & Queen would love to be treated and adored like royalty in a caring new home.  They are Miniature Pinschers, spayed/neutered, approximately 5 years of age.

Both have a cute prance and spring in their step, along with being compatible with friendly cats and dogs and children.  At the time of rescue they were banished to living outdoors only, which is unacceptable, so your patience and guidance may be needed to help with completing housetraining.

Ace & Queen are both on a special diet (fish-based food) for allergies, and Queen has a chronic dry eye needing daily drops.

These regal little dogs have been with us for several months now anxiously awaiting someone special to adopt them.  Special thanks to Pet'ographique, and our volunteers who took them to their portrait session, for this amazing portrait to help them find a forever home.
