Roxy, an inspirational Miniature Pinscher for adoption.

At the time of rescue Roxy was missing her front right leg and her left eye was so severely infected that it could not be saved.

But Roxy's loving spirit keeps her focused on the present and she is happy to be alive and full of devotion.

Cuddle with Roxy while you read a book or watch a movie and she is in heaven.

Roxy is a Miniature Pinscher, spayed girl, about 4 years of age, housetrained, good with cats & dogs & older kids, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

Roxy needed us when her previous owners divorced.

They say I am sweeter than a dozen roses.

Bonnie Ray is at her most content when she is being held and adored.

She is a Miniature Pinscher with a lovely spirit, spayed girl, approximately 4 years of age, and she gets along well with other dogs.

Her beautiful portrait is courtesy of Pet'ographique to help her get adopted.

Bonnie Ray needed us because her previous owner erroneously thought she was a "mixed breed" and the person wanted a "pure breed".

Do not even think I will let you ignore me.

Velvet is a precious baby girl who triumphantly survived a terrible threat to her life.

At the time of rescue her previous owner would not or could not provide the emergency medical care needed to save her from the deadly parvo virus.

We rushed her into a veterinary hospital, and after extensive treatments, she made a full recovery.

Velvet is a tiny Miniature Pinscher, spayed, about 3 months of age.

She craves and demands attention, and she may scream if you disregard her.  This screaming is not uncommon in puppies and usually diminishes with time.

Please carefully puppy-proof your home and yard for her safety and protection.

Thank you to all of you who donate to Nevada SPCA so that we can provide advanced medical care to community animals in need, like Velvet.

Am I invisible?

All of us, and James too, are perplexed why visitors never ask to meet and engage this cheerful, zippy boy.

One of our longest residents, James has watched thousands of dogs being adopted and he must wonder when his ship will come in.

James is a good-looking mix of Dachshund and Miniature Pinscher.  He is neutered, about 8 years of age, and compatible with other dogs, especially dogs who are larger than he is.

As an extra adoption benefit, he goes home with free comprehensive dog training!

Please come meet this joyful little fellow and we think you will be amazed by his character and personality.

These stellar portraits of James are courtesy of the wonderful people at Pet'ographique to help him get adopted into a forever home.

We would love to bounce right into your life.

Ace & Queen
We honor the strong bonds of soul-mates by having them be adopted together, even though this usually results in them being more difficult to adopt.  But for many homeless animals, their soul-mate has been their rock through often difficult times, and the emotional consequences of breaking them up are too devastating.

Ace & Queen would love to be treated and adored like royalty in a caring new home.  They are Miniature Pinschers, spayed/neutered, approximately 5 years of age.

Both have a cute prance and spring in their step, along with being compatible with friendly cats and dogs and children.  At the time of rescue they were banished to living outdoors only, which is unacceptable, so your patience and guidance may be needed to help with completing housetraining.

Ace & Queen are both on a special diet (fish-based food) for allergies, and Queen has a chronic dry eye needing daily drops.

These regal little dogs have been with us for several months now anxiously awaiting someone special to adopt them.  Special thanks to Pet'ographique, and our volunteers who took them to their portrait session, for this amazing portrait to help them find a forever home.
