Are you a fan of NHL?

I was never a fan of hockey sports until we went to New Jersey to visit my sister and my brother-in-law. We visited them for one week 3 years ago and my brother-in-law introduced us to hockey. He used to play hockey thus he is a big fan of National Hockey League.

I have never been to a live hockey game and my brother-in-law offers to buy us a New York Islanders Tickets or New York Rangers Tickets if we want to watch the game live the next time we visit them. I politely declined because we don't have a plan on visiting them yet as airfare from Alabama to New Jersey has gotten very expensive.

We might not be able to visit them for a while especially that we plan to come home to visit Philippines early next year. But, just in case we can squeeze it on our budget next year we want a free Philadelphia Flyers Tickets or Pittsburgh Penguins Tickets.

Are you a hockey fan? Did you know that you can purchase Toronto Maple Leafs Tickets or other hockey game tickets easily at ACheapSeat.com? Don't let the season be over without seeing your favorite teams live in action. Buy your tickets now.

March Madness

Few more days and it will be March and people in the USA are excited about the March Madness. For those who are not familiar about this term, March Madness is the moniker that is given to the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Men's and Women's Basketball Tournaments. It is a phenomenon that grips the. Every year, it never fails to excite us all and this year is nothing different about it, we are all excited about it.

There are so many sports that are being played here in the USA, that sometimes when you are not a sports fan, you get lost in it. Not me though as I am married to a man who is a sports follower. Sports is a big thing here in the USA. Many people bet on sports here. Some even spend a fortune on their bets.

Sports betting online has become popular and there is a guide on it too. There are tips and tricks that everyone who is interested to bet should know. It is actually easy to learn the science of sports betting, you can start by reading the online basketball betting guide. And when you know the basics, then you can start betting.

Cricket

A couple of years back I met a friend online. He was from South Africa and I was really excited to learn about the differences in our culture. Aside from our culture, I also got interested to know more about the sport he called Cricket. It seemed to be such a popular sport that when I mentioned it to my friend who was from Australia, she also had lots of things to say about it.

I'm familiar with baseball, and I thought Cricket was not much different. When my friends were giving me the run-through of how the sport was played, it was interesting to learn about their differences. Yes, with baseball and cricket, it's about batting, running, and inning/s. But with Cricket, there are stumps and wickets too. Also, based on my understanding, there are stricter rules to follow even for simple actions such as foot placements.

Because of these restrictions, I suppose players need specialized equipments, accessories and gears to play this game. Cricket footwear may be as important as the Cricket bats or protective clothings (pads, helmet, box). I was so curious to know more about these things that I found a great online Cricket store based in the USA. Here I saw what my friends were talking about. Glad to know that great stores such as the one I saw service other countries too like Australia and Canada.

I still have lots to learn about Cricket, and maybe one day I can watch the game played live.

Football Season Almost Over

I can't believe that football season is almost over. Though my favorite team LSU will not be playing for SEC Conference Title nor BCS ball game, I am still happy that they end up 10-2 on their record. The way they started playing and with all those clock management issues, who could believe that they will end up to have a winning season? I know there were far too many controversies on their games but well that's a game win or lose and no excuses!

I admit, football is really addicting. We always spend our Saturdays watching the game. Most of the games are televised on local channels or ESPN so we can flick our channels to whichever game we want to see. I am glad we have directv at home so we are able to watch different sports show.

When I applied for our cable services, I made sure that the direct tv package that I will get was the one with sports channels (included). Hubby and I like watching different sports so we needed that kind of package. As the football season soon to end, we can't wait for the bowl games, championship game and of course who would want to miss the Superbowl!

If you have problems with your sports channel you better check out the direct tv packages before football season ends or you will miss the real action in the world of football.

Any Baseball Game, Any Time

The Author of this post is Darius Boone

I am a huge fan of Major League Baseball, so much so that I don't have a rooting interest in any team. Really, I do not understand why anyone would root for a particular piece of laundry, and it makes more sense to me to love the game and the players and the compelling stories that make the sport the exciting drama that it is. After all, the fact that one team should be rooted for unequivocally like a blind fool really speaks of a kind of sports slavery that should not be dignified by a true and sensible person. If a team fails to perform, why should I support it blindly? It makes no sense, like paying for a pizza that tastes awful simply because it is made in your hometown.

This loyalty is foolish and I choose to follow the baseball team that does its best to entertain me. It makes more sense to not be bored, and this is why I watch the New York Yankees, because they are a team that knows drama. They always make things interesting and always compete to the bitter or sweet end. The New York Yankees are the greatest team in the history of sports. I watch them every night on satellite TV from directstartv.com because there is really no other place to watch every game in high definition.
