Kane is a handsome young German Shepherd with unconditional devotion.
Kane is a loyal, intelligent, noble young boy who needs a new owner knowledgeable about German Shepherds.
He is just 3 years of age, neutered, housetrained, crate-trained, and reportedly fine with some dogs and older kids, and he debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.
Kane's previous owner died and he reportedly was then taken by a neighbor, but then surrendered to us because he is "too big".
Kane likes to play with plastic bottles (without lids) and he is reportedly protective against strangers, so an experienced home is required.
Please help us find Kane a lifelong, loving home.

Rufus is a Siberian Husky puppy seeking a loving, forever home.
Rufus is a jovial baby boy with a playful temperament.
He is a cute Siberian Husky puppy, 7 months young, neutered, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.
Besides doing well with other dogs his size, he is reportedly great with children and housetrained too. Siberian Husky knowledge is preferred for his adoption.
Rufus did nothing wrong. His previous owners moved and opted not to take him.
I did nothing wrong, but the landlord said I was not welcome.
Prince, a well-behaved and regal boy, is understandably confused about why he lost his previous home. (The landlord instituted a no-pets policy.)
He is a distinguished White German Shepherd, neutered boy, 3 years of age.
Prince is reportedly housetrained, crate-trained, and compatible with mature kids and some dogs.
German Shepherd knowledge and/or experience is required for his adoption.
He reportedly loves to go swimming!

Am I invisible?
All of us, and James too, are perplexed why visitors never ask to meet and engage this cheerful, zippy boy.
One of our longest residents, James has watched thousands of dogs being adopted and he must wonder when his ship will come in.
James is a good-looking mix of Dachshund and Miniature Pinscher. He is neutered, about 8 years of age, and compatible with other dogs, especially dogs who are larger than he is.
As an extra adoption benefit, he goes home with free comprehensive dog training!
Please come meet this joyful little fellow and we think you will be amazed by his character and personality.
These stellar portraits of James are courtesy of the wonderful people at Pet'ographique to help him get adopted into a forever home.

I bring sunshine with me wherever I go.
This bright-eyed boy is irresistible.
Max is a Yellow Labrador Retriever, neutered, about 4 years of age, with golden eyes and a golden heart.
Max needed us when his previous owner passed away. After an initial bout of sadness and depression, the sparkle is back in his eyes and he is focused on the future.
Please pursue basic dog training for him to help channel his energy into good behaviors.
Max bonds beautifully with people and dogs.

He is very playful, sometimes goofy, so an active (or semi-active) lifestyle is best for him.

Update: Duce was adopted on February 12th!
Duce has the light-hearted, sometimes goofy personality that makes him still seem like a puppy.
He is 2 years of age, a Rottweiler mix, neutered boy, ready for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.
Besides enjoying other playful dogs, he is reportedly housetrained and compatible with cats and children.
Duce needed us when his previous owners moved away without him.
Rottweiler knowledge and/or experience is preferred for his adoption. Please ask for Duce by name so we can bring him into the adoption courtyard to meet you.

Update: Gypsy was adopted on February 11th!
Feeling so lost, and that there must be some mistake with her becoming homeless, Gypsy cries and whines, her heart badly broken.
Unfortunately, there was no mistake. Without explanation, her previous owner surrendered her to a government-funded shelter. When space ran out, we rescued her from there and brought her into the safety of Nevada SPCA.
Gypsy does not yet feel safe, but we are working hard to reassure her that her future will be bright and her days of fear can be over.
Gypsy is a lovely Golden Retriever mix, spayed girl, 4 years of age. She has an independent nature, at least at the moment, but undoubtedly a heart of gold too. She is fine with most sweet dogs.
Please adopt her and show her that humans can make lifetime commitments to those they love and who need them.
I am terrified I will be abandoned yet again.
Juno is a loyal youngster, gorgeous and intelligent.
But repeatedly losing her homes and families during her first year of life has taken a substantial toll, creating separation anxiety, because in her mind when you leave her alone you may disappear forever too.
Please imagine how horrifying this must be to her, as she gives her whole heart and unconditional love to those who she cannot count on being around forever.
In an experienced home though, Juno will shine and reach her full potential. She is a Siberian Husky with stunning eyes, spayed girl, one year of age, reportedly compatible with cats and most larger dogs.
A patient, understanding person with Husky knowledge and/or experience is needed for her. She needs to complete housetraining (she is reportedly mostly housetrained), and a secure home and yard will keep her from escaping (which may seem fun to her, but is very dangerous).

I am well-behaved, but the landlord booted me.
Update: Rocky was adopted on February 12th!
Rocky indeed has a heart of gold.
He is understandably confused about why he lost his previous home. He is reportedly housetrained, compatible with kids and many dogs, and even knows some basic training commands. But the landlord reportedly would not allow him because of his breed designation, which is a real shame because individual personality is far more indicative of behavior than breed designation.
Rocky is a handsome American Bulldog, neutered boy, 2 years young, and he debuts for adoption today.
This youngster yearns for a stable home environment where he can share his love without fear of being abandoned again.

Update: Buck was adopted on February 2nd!
Today is a triumph for Buck, who is still a puppy at about 11 months of age. He is finally all clear of a simple skin fungus we had been treating on him for months and he is ready for adoption into a loving, forever home.
What a handsome, noble young boy! His magnetic eyes are hypnotic and we love his fawn & white coloring and floppy left ear. He is neutered and most likely a Siberian Husky and Shepherd mix.
Buck has had some crate-training and housetraining, but your patience and good guidance may be needed. In addition, we recommend basic dog obedience training to help him channel his athleticism and energy into proper behaviors.
He needed us due to his previous owner's financial hardship.

I am a sweet ball of dynamite!
Update: Sally was adopted on January 27th!
Bouncy and athletic, Sally seems to have the energy of an entire litter of puppies.
But she is generally well-behaved (except, reportedly, when company arrives and she gets so excited that she drops all manners), including being housetrained (with a doggie door), crate-trained, and compatible with cats & dogs and kind children.
So Sally will thrive with an active lifestyle. She is a pretty Jack Russell Terrier, spayed girl, about 6 years of age.
Sally needed rescue when her previous owner changed housing arrangements.
Jack Russell Terrier knowledge and/or experience is preferred for her adoption. Please be willing and able to provide basic dog obedience training for her to so that she can continue channeling her energy into good behavior.

No one wanted me when grandma died.
We adore Logan and find him endearing and incredibly lovable.
But his heart was broken when his previous owner passed away and the surviving family brought him to us. He is coming out of the depression well, thanks to staff and volunteers showering him with good cheer and encouragement.
Logan is a well-behaved Jack Russell Terrier, neutered boy, about 6 years of age.
Besides getting along well with other dogs, he is reportedly housetrained (with a doggie door) and compatible with cats and children. For his allergies, please keep Logan on a fish & potato diet.
Logan debuts for adoption today. He has unconditional love to share with you.
