Twinkie, a tiny Yorkie for adoption.

Twinkie is the tiniest of dogs -- only 3 pounds! -- but he has enormous unconditional love to share with you. 

He is a super cute, super sweet Yorkshire Terrier, neutered boy, 10 years of age, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. 

Another shelter asked us to rescue Twinkie because of his dental needs.  We had his teeth cleaned and he is now ready for a forever home. 

An experienced home is required for his safety due to his exceptionally small size.

Celine's heartbreaking story will have a happy ending.

Celine relishes being cradled and reassured. 

She is 12 years of age, a very gentle calico, and her world turned upside down when her previous owners abandoned their foreclosed home and left her behind in the neighborhood to fend for herself.  At the time of rescue she had returned to the home, entered through the doggie door, and was attacked by two dogs (owned by the home's new owners).  She is recovering well from the wounds, including a large cut under her left eye, but her heart is shattered and we are in overdrive consoling her out of severe depression. 

Celine debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA and she has enormous devotion to offer you.  Please be her hero and always keep her safely indoors, loved and cherished.

Mickey is young at heart.

Mickey would love to start the New Year off with a loving home. But at 13 years of age, he keeps getting overlooked by people looking for puppies and younger dogs.

Chelsea is spayed, about 14 years of age, and needed us when her previous owner passed away.

So grateful to be getting tender care, Sarah Belle delights in giving you doggie kisses.

Penelope is a dear who looks like a deer.

Penelope is an older girl with a beautiful soul who longs for love and security.

We think of her as a dear with a deer-like appearance, as she is a unique Heinz 57, about 30 pounds (medium size).  Penelope is spayed, about 9 years of age, and she gets along fine with most dogs.

Herman is not trash.

At the time of rescue he was living in a rabbit hutch and his previous owner said he did not want him anymore and was going to release him onto the streets.

Blue finally awakens to human kindness.

It's never too late to decide to love people. 

For Blue, this remarkable breakthrough comes at 12 years of age, following a life previously full of despair and neglect. 

She now loves going for walks and she is beginning to trust people.  Volunteers and staff have been working with her for many months because at the time of rescue she was very grumpy and intolerant of people.

An angel from heaven, Petunia is blind, 10-12 years old, and homeless. 

But she trusts us to find her someone to cherish her every day she has left on Earth. 

Volunteers took her to Pet'ographique yesterday and she held her head proudly high for her portrait, reacting well to soft voices and tender touches. 

She is a wonderful cuddler and she has an ocean of unconditional devotion to share.
