Rooster & Lady Bear, soul-mates.

The radiant, cheerful smiles from this good-looking pair will greet you when you return home every day.

Rooster & Lady Bear (the names they came in with) are strongly bonded and need to remain together forever.

They needed us when their previous owners lost their home.  Neither dog did anything wrong.

Rooster is a male Siberian Husky of about 8 years.  Lady Bear is a German Shepherd mix and 7 years.  Both are spayed/neutered and reportedly housetrained.

Please visit Nevada SPCA and ask for the pair by name.

The Neil Diamond Girls are ready for adoption into a loving, forever home.

Cracklin' Rosie
Sweet Caroline
Cracklin' Rosie & Sweet Caroline are quiet-natured, gorgeous girls with amiable personalities.

They are very timid and we have to carry them from room to room.  They are gentle and just need to build confidence and self-esteem with socialization in a stable, patient home.

Their previous owner was battling a terminal illness the past several years and could not give them the care and attention they needed.  So they will need kind guidance to help adjust to a new home.

Cracklin' Rosie is a German Shepherd and Sweet Caroline is a Belgian Shepherd.  Both girls are spayed and about 8 years of age.

Please help us find a hero to adopt the pair and help them reach their full loving potential.

Manny's triumphant debut for adoption!

Manny is an angelic puppy with the cutest deer-like appearance and bubbly personality.

He is a German Shepherd, about 10 months of age, neutered, and full of love.

At the time of rescue weeks ago he was dangerously malnourished. But he is responding well with pancreatic enzyme substitutes (sprinkled on his food) for a pancreatic insufficiency.

German Shepherd knowledge is strongly preferred for Manny's adoption.

Guinness, a radiant German Shepherd who needs a hero.

Guinness should hold a world record for most luminous, delightful personality! He radiates warmth and kindess and dazzles with his smile and bright eyes.

Guinness is a handsome German Shepherd, neutered boy, 8 years of age, housetrained, crate-trained, good with cats and older kids, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

He enjoys playing with soccer and tennis balls.

He needed us when his previous owner was evicted.

Guinness has special needs -- he was diagnosed with lupus, an autoimmune disease -- and eagerly awaits a hero to adopt him.

Fred & Max

Fred
Max and Fred
We rescued these two heavenly boys from another shelter.  Fred and Max are both regal, radiant German Shepherds, neutered, about 8 years of age.  They had landed in a government-funded shelter when their previous owners reportedly lost the family home to foreclosure.

Both boys are now safe.  Fred is debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Because they adore each other so much, we wanted to keep them together forever.  But Max has a torn ACL and we are having advanced medical care provided to save his leg, courtesy of a wonderful and very generous donor.

Perhaps the boys will be reunited again when Max has made a full recovery from his surgery.  We will urge whoever adopts Fred to try and keep an open mind on this.

Kane is a handsome young German Shepherd with unconditional devotion.

Kane is a loyal, intelligent, noble young boy who needs a new owner knowledgeable about German Shepherds.

He is just 3 years of age, neutered, housetrained, crate-trained, and reportedly fine with some dogs and older kids, and he debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

Kane's previous owner died and he reportedly was then taken by a neighbor, but then surrendered to us because he is "too big".

Kane likes to play with plastic bottles (without lids) and he is reportedly protective against strangers, so an experienced home is required.

Please help us find Kane a lifelong, loving home.

I still believe in the altruism of people.

Despite years of neglect, Lottie has not given up on people.

The months have rolled by since her rescue, and she is trying to remain patient awaiting her new owner and forever home. Being loved would be a dream come true for her.

Lottie is a blond German Shepherd mix, spayed lady, 8 years of age.

She has mild arthritis, but delights in leisurely walks and tender affection.

These gorgeous portraits of Lottie are courtesy of Pet'ographique.

I give gentle kisses.

Update: Anastasia was adopted on February 12th!

Anastasia is an intelligent girl with remarkable devotion and she is anxious to find her place in this world.

She is a lovely German Shepherd mix, spayed, approximately 7 years of age.

At the time of rescue a few months ago she was out on the streets, filthy and obese.  Staff and volunteers have been working with her and she has been trimming up beautifully, walking well on a leash, and trusting people more.

Anastasia is most comfortable with women, especially gentle women.  Men can make her wary initially, but she warms up quickly when she figures out who is kind.

Please give this magnificent girl a second look.  Her improvements are inspiring and she is so ready to belong to someone special.

My eyes are windows to my soul.

Update: Buck was adopted on February 2nd!

Today is a triumph for Buck, who is still a puppy at about 11 months of age.  He is finally all clear of a simple skin fungus we had been treating on him for months and he is ready for adoption into a loving, forever home.

What a handsome, noble young boy!  His magnetic eyes are hypnotic and we love his fawn & white coloring and floppy left ear.  He is neutered and most likely a Siberian Husky and Shepherd mix.

Buck has had some crate-training and housetraining, but your patience and good guidance may be needed.  In addition, we recommend basic dog obedience training to help him channel his athleticism and energy into proper behaviors.

He needed us due to his previous owner's financial hardship.
