My brother and I were going to finally live out our dream. We were going to open a surf shop right by the water! We'd loved to ride the waves for decades and it was truly time for us to make a life out of it. We didn't have much trouble finding a spot for the store since a bakery nearby was closing. Inventory also wasn't a huge deal since we knew exactly what we wanted to carry and had developed some really good relationships with vendors over the years. I was the one who suggested we make a business website to go along with our store, so we did some digging and found we needed to register domain name options then have a designer work on the site. Once it was done it was fully transactional and looked great! After that there was nothing to do but have a sign made for the store and get behind the register. I have a feeling this entrepreneurial thing is going to be amazing!
I appreciate the guest post, Ignacio Phillips

Our Small Business Then
A few years ago, before I migrated here to the United States, my family and I had a small business, an internet café, that is. I used to manage it and fortunately, our business clicked and we had many customers. Aside from the internet, we also accepted simple printing services. If a customer wanted to print something from a website, he could just inform me or the in-charge that he is going to print. Sometimes, students who have projects or research would come to the café and have their resources printed. So every day, I would check if our printer cartridges are still full. Since I wanted to save from buying brand new ink, I would always go to the city to look for cheap ink. I was just lucky then because there were inkjet cartridges available in the malls that are cheaper. It was my responsibility to look for printer ink since I knew most what was needed for the internet café. I also had to hire someone, a computer technician to do the major computer repairs, other than that I was also the one who maintained the PCs. It was not easy but I really enjoyed managing the business. I liked the thought that I get to be the boss and yet I am able to serve my neighbors and our community.
Eco-friendly Office
It's Earth week and we all should make our share of doing something green to help mother earth. ISC International, a company who offer color fax, was serious about their pledge to help mother earth and do something good for the environment. They just re-did their office and it looks awesome. Their office is now eco-friendly. Their new workplace is not just beautiful but it is also environmentally sensitive.
ISC International used installed porcelain tile and natural fiber, wool-based carpet in their office. These products are known to emit low to no volatile organic compounds (VOCs). VOCs can cause headaches, nausea and respiratory irritation. They also used low- or no-VOC paint in painting their walls.
Having an eco-friendly office promotes healthy working environment. Workers will not felt the usual undesirable smell and the newness of the place. If only more businesses will advocate on eco-friendly office, it will really be good for the environment. Another way to do something good for the environment is to use fax broadcast service because by doing so, it eliminates the need to print, store and dispose of paper messaging records. Sending and receiving messages electronically is not only convenient but this is something we all should consider for its environmental benefits.

Business with SMC
Starting a business is no easy peasy, even if it’s a small home-based business. There are so many things to take into consideration. First and foremost, the money involved in putting up the business. There are also risks to manage, plus the country’s economy that is still rooting its way back to where it should belong. One of the risks involved is getting scammed. Many businesses have failed because of this, since starting one need to be firmly grounded and has to be done professionally. One company that needs to be considered when thinking about business is the SMC. The smc catalog business has its ups and downs but it is a good place to invest and partner with.
With SMC, the business owner has to work hard too and be familiar with smc promotions to be able to draw interests to the products or services they are offering. They have smc coach that mentors the individual who wish to do business. They give advices on smc membership and marketing tools like websites in order for the individual member to succeed in promoting their products and services. The member also has to do his part; he has to work to profit too.
Partnering with a reliable company means that each one has to work hand in hand so that goals will be achieved.

SMC Business
A great way to earn extra without too much hassle is starting up a catalogue-based home business with SMC. I’ve always liked looking at fab items I can find in magazines and catalogues, and yes, shop all I want in just one sitting. So why not be a part of this selling biz. I’m sure a lot of friends and stay-at-home moms would be interested too.
Knowing about the company is a great advantage in selling, and also buying. You will recognize immediately if you’ve just had an SMC scam encounter and will know well how they handle SMC complaints. The SMC Corp has been very accommodating with issues raised to the management and they look at it as a way to improve their products and services. Specialty Merchandise Corporation has been around for over 60 years and you can easily read smc review online.
With SMC home-based business, instead of just spending because there are really a lot of stuff I like, I can also earn through doing what’s so fun to do – shopping!

Restaurant Business
I love dining out. Besides going to watch movies, dining out is one of the things we splurge quite often. No, we don't dine out at 5 star restaurants. We just love eating out in different restaurants and venture into different cuisines.
Restaurant business is something I will be interested should I be given a chance. Actually I have a friend who is in the planning stage of opening a Filipino restaurant. Given the fact that there is no Filipino store in our area including in greater Birminghan area, I think that it is a good business. The planning stage takes quite a while as a new restaurant should need restaurant equipment and other restaurant supply. Looking for a good price for these takes takes long and time consuming.
Because I have checked different restaurants in our locality, I advised my friend to invest into professional cookware as it will make a difference. I know it may require a bigger investment but it is worth it. I told her to check out wasserstrom restaurant supplies for all her needs as they offer great products at a very good price. They have plenty of cooking supplies and a lot more!
