Last year was the first time that I experienced the total excitement of Black Friday sales. I am often invited by my friends to go shopping with them at the early dawn just to catch some great deals offered by different stores in time for Black Friday sales. For too many times, I declined their invitation mainly because it didn't appeal to me. But last year, I finally decided to experience the American tradition of Black Friday. Oh boy! it was such a different experience. We headed out of the door at around 3am! Yes that early in a very cold morning. I was dressed warm but it didn't help. While we were falling in line waiting for the store to open, I remember feeling frozen. Despite my tennis shoes, my feet were still cold. At that moment, I wonder why on earth was I there. In fairness, it was fun to see people scrummaging for sale items. If you have an item in mind that you really wanted to buy (big purchases like electronics) it is worth the effort if not, then I guess you better just stay home and enjoy a comfortable stay in the bed.
